Hey, I’m Ira, the CEO of Shapeshift.

I caught the entrepreneurship bug early in my career, when I was the first designer at a startup which exited. I became a founder during COVID when I got tired of listening to How I Built This and not doing anything about it.

After a small amount of wins and way more losses, I realized I’d actually always wanted to be an artist, and it was years of survival instincts that’d molded me into an entrepreneur.

This newsletter is an exploration of that tension.
